I’m all for rain (especially when it involves being inside with a good movie and a cup of hot cocoa) but it’s always rough to start off the week amid grey skies and uninterrupted drizzle. Thankfully, I was able to spend the weekend swooshing down the mountain on freshly minted powder and hanging with friends in our Tahoe cabin. Nothing quite beats the feeling of taking off your ski boots after a long day on the slopes and hopping into a hot tub as snow is falling down around you. It really does put all my wet weather phobias at ease.
While the San Francisco rain isn’t nearly as romantic as a white winter wonderland, I’m convinced that with the right hearty winter recipes (think: turkey chili and split pea soup) planned for the week and some serious time allotted to watching the Olympics and baking goodies for Valentine’s Day (our girlfriends prefer to observe Galentine’s Day), I can, at the very least, distract myself from all the puddles.
Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start. Stay dry and pray for more US Gold Medals!
