Having tried the Chinese-street-food inspired restaurant a few months ago, I’ve been waiting to find an excuse to go back to Wo Hing General Store. Apparently, a regular Tuesday night was excuse enough.
In the mood for some meat, we ordered heavy on their pork offerings, which didn’t disappoint. We started with the pork and shrimp won tons followed by the honey-thai chili grilled chicken skewers and steam hand-curred pork, cured salted fish and ginger. While I would reorder all of those (and just about everything else on the menu), the evening’s winner was the pork ma po tofu. Who knew I’d ever rave about tofu?!
Be prepared to share dishes. The menu is intended to let you try as much as possible…and trust me, you’ll want to do just that.
